Medicaid is a public health care insurance. This insurance is usually obtained by people who cannot pay their health expenses. Medicaid usually covers doctor visits, prescription drugs, hospital stay, dental and vision services, and emergency room visits. Medicaid can help people,who need help paying their medical bills,be able to afford their medical expenses.
What is Medicare?
Medicare is a public health care insurance. This insurance is usually for people who are 65 years or older, or people who are under 65 years old who have a disabilities. Medicare usually covers prescription drugs, doctor visits, dental services, vision services, and other medical expenses. This insurance can be obtained by anyone who is 65 years or older, is a citizen/ permanent resident of the United States, and if they worked at least 10 years in medicare cover employment.
What are Private Health Insurance?
Private insurance can be obtained in jobs or if someone purchase it on their own. Private insurance differs from public insurance because in private insurance, you pay a certain amount of money each week, or depending on your private insurance company. There are two types of insurance: PPO and HMO. People who have HMO have to go to doctors who accept HMO insurance because people with HMO cannot go to any doctor they want. HMO tends to less expensive than PPO and HMO helps people decrease the price in some of their medical expenses. People with PPO can go to any doctor they want, unlike people who have HMO, but they pay more for their medical expenses. PPO allows people to go see a specialist without the permission of their physician, unlike people who have HMO because they have to have permission from their physician.
